Kogi To Partner NITDA on Youths Development – Hon Danladi Suleman Aguye

The Kogi State Government under the leadership of the ever Youth loving Governor, His Excellency Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello is set to through the office of the SA on Job Creation and SME Development, Hon Danladi Suleman Aguye partner with NITDA.

According to the Special Adviser Job creation and SME Development, said through the agency, the office for ICT Innovation and Entrepreneurship would engage youths of Kogi State on a Digital capacity building training.

Hon Danladi Aguye stated this when he paid a courtesy visit on behalf of the state government to the National Coordinator at their Maitama office in Abuja, Dr. (Mrs) Amina Sambo-Magaji to discuss the willingness of the government of Kogi State to partner her agency to train her youths to be self reliant and also to create jobs through her agencies in the areas of eHealth, eAgriculture, and eEducation capacity building training.

The SA is challenged all youths across Kogi State to harness this opportunity and register for this program, says based on the New Direction Mandate to create jobs, the youth friendly Governor who also happens to be one of the youngest Governors in Nigeria is determined to support her youths to unlock and explore her potentials to its Zenith through direct and indirect job creations.

The National Information Technology Development Agency NITDA will be hosting 3 editions of its FUTUREHACK programs this year.

FutureHack is a national Hackathon held in collaboration with academic institutions where Nigeria’s teaming youths would be challenged to come up with solutions and ideas that will drive the digital and economic development of the state and by extension the country.

The objectives according to FutureHack is to develop and grow a global network of ICT expertise comprising of Nigerian youths within the country and in diaspora. It is targeted at inculcating entrepreneurship values in the academia, creating a platform where industries and public institutions will leverage on academic research ecosystem to solve challenges.

This Year, the focus he said is on eHealth, eAgriculture and eEducation. The challenge is open to All-students, entrepreneurs and any creative individual.
A number of venture-viable solutions/Ideas will be selected to undergo further research and funding into becoming Ventures.
The best three startup groups will have opportunity for partnership and incubation at an appropriate hub. As the youths are a major stakeholders in the ICT sector.

The SA used the medium to encourage and challenge youths of Kogi State to be a part of the Kogi State/NITDA FutureHack Hackathon program on eHealth, eAgriculture and eEducation.

The event is scheduled to take place as follows;
1st Edition: 1st – 2nd July, 2019. At Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja.
2nd Edition: 8th – 9th July, 2019, at ABU, Zaria. Kaduna State.3rd Edition: 22nd – 23rd July, 2019 at OAU Ife.
