Kogi State Deputy Governor , Elder Simon Achuba has urged Kogites and indeed Nigerians to sustain their unity and continually express love to one another for a better society.
Elder Achuba in his New Year Message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, noted that “God’s packages in the year 2018 which includes blessings, favour, mercy, long life and prosperity, success, freedom and others truly becomes God’s gift to us when we love one another and express our faith in God”.
The Deputy Governor said it is love for one another and tolerance that can sustain the prevailing peace and security in Kogi State as the Governor Yahaya Bello-led administration, as usual, is set to deliver real dividends of democracy to the people of the state this promising year and till the end of his administrations.
He urged the people not to relent in their prayers for the state and the administration, stating that with their prayers and thanksgiving, the state would move to its place of pride amongst other states of the federation.
The Deputy Governor said the people of the state and Nigerians have every reason to thank God considering the developmental projects spread across the state and the country at large, stating that with their continuous support for the governments, more would be achieved in the year 2018.
He commended Kogites for their support so far for Governor Bello-led administration, while giving assurance that year 2018 will be better than previous years in terms of development and empowerment.
The Deputy Governor further enjoined the youths of the state to be ambassadors of the state anywhere they found themselves and shun any act capable of denting the good image of the state.
